The VMs I've setup with a network card set to internal network. I've given the two routers as basic a config as possible, just so they provide connectivity,ie ip addresses and ospf routing. The switch connected to R2 just has 2 VMs hooked up That switch just connects to a virtual client. The switch connected to R1 has a bunch of VM servers and another switch connetecd to it. R2 has 2 fe ports, 1 to R1 and 1 to a switch 1 each for 2 external network clouds, 1 to a switch and the last to R2 I've set up my first batch of servers and basic network config.
I have used GNS3 a bit in the past, though mainly with VMWare rather than VB. I'm working on Mircrosoft and Cisco certifications and want to set up a large scenario based lab to play with.
